A fun day at the Butterfly Pavilion

We spent one of our weekdays at the Butterfly
Pavilion.  They had more than just butterflies there.
The first room you enter was filled with all kinds of
insects.  There were stick bugs and tarantulas and
scorpions.  One of the coolest displays was of some
scorpions in black light.  They were glowing blue and
purple.  Pretty cool but I didn't like the spiders at all.

This was a man face bettle.  It looks like a face or a mask.
The cockroaches in Hawaii are bad enough.  I don't want
any giant bugs crawling around my house.

One of the butterflies landed on Haley's hand and just hung
out there for a while.  Really cool to have so many just
flying around all over you.  It even felt like home in there.
There was mist and heat and humidity.  I quite enjoyed it.

Mr. Turtle just hanging out in the midst of all the bugs.
YUM!
There was a playroom for the kids too.  They
had games and jungle gyms and even a mini
zip line for them to play on.  That kept them
busy for at least an hour.  It was good fun.
