Crested Butte Part 1

We had a mini family reunion in Crested Butte Colorado.
My brother Doug and his family, my Dad, my sister Kelly,
and my brother Robb and his family all came up for the fun.
Most of us drove up there on the 2nd of July and stayed
through the 5th.  The first two days we just hung out in
Crested Butte and enjoyed the festivities going on around
town.  We ate at the Brick Oven and had yummy pizza,
played bocci ball in the yard, relaxed in the hot tub and
of course had a heated battle of uchre.  Good times all around.

The entire weekend we had Keeley and Kayla yelling
from the backseat EVERY time they saw horses or cows.
They would scream, "horses!" and scare me to death.
They thought that they were wild horses just because they
were out in an open field.  Rascals I tell you.
My nephew giving Kelly a piggy back ride!
Waiting for a table at the Brick Oven for pizza.
Kelly and I decided to take the girls on a little bike ride.
The little bike ride turned into a long and hot one, let me explain.
There was a trail all the way through town up to the mountain.
Everyone there rides bikes all summer so we wanted to
join the locals and experience a little bike ride through Crested
Butte.  Kelly started down the trail with Haley and Kayla
while I tried to get Keeley to stop having a panic attack.
The bikes had hand brakes and she is used to pedal breaks.
Kelly and the girls took off and Keeley and I decided to just
head back to the park where she wasn't so scared to ride.
About an hour later we see Kayla riding up by herself.
I asked her where is Haley and Kelly and she replied that
Haley took off and Auntie Kelly had to go find her.
We sat for another twenty minutes and Haley showed up with
the car keys hanging from her back.  Haley ended up going
about four miles up the mountain and Kelly had to chase her
down on foot.  Crazy child was really enjoying herself and
decided that she wasn't going to give up until she conquered
the whole mountain.  She gets that determination from ME!
We eventually found Kelly and returned the bikes.
Kelly wasn't very pleased with the event but I couldn't help but
laugh at it.  Poor Kelly didn't even have tennis shoes on for the
long hike.  What a day we had.

Crested Butte did fireworks on the 3rd of July so we
hung out and watched them from the park.  It was
super chilly that night, much cooler than we were expecting.
Everyone in the park had dogs?  Don't dogs hate fireworks?
