There is a place called Dinosaur Ridge. It is just a wall
outside of Denver in the side of a mountain that has the
history of Denver written all over it. At one point Denver
was all under water and so there are mangrove tree holds
in the rock, ripple marks and even dinosaur prints. There
were bones found there also but now they are all gone and
in a museum somewhere. It was a short walk up the hill
to find a treasure of information about the landscape and
wildlife of Colorado from millions of years ago.
There was a fake bone dig for the girls at the front gate
of the park area. They were really enjoying their dig.
It was such a hot day walking out in the sun we decided
that the rest of the day would be well spent next to the pool!
