Picking out our Pumpkins

We went out to the local pumpkin patch in Ewa to find us some good carving pumpkins for Halloween. The girls love to go out there, but it is very dusty and very hot. We went right at noon and I was insanely hot, all I could think about what leaving. Keeley didn't want to walk anywhere because she was getting dirt on her toes and on her shoes. Needless to say, we went to the closest patch and tried to find pumpkins as quickly as we could. By the way, I have never paid so much for pumpkins in my life. I will just say it was a bitter sweet pumpkin patch experience.

"Mom, how do I choose, there are too many pumpkins here."

"We have to stop, I am getting too much dirt on my toes."

"You guys keep looking, I am just gonna hang out on this here pumpkin."

"Here, lets take this nice one."

"Dad, that one is huge."

"Well, I found mine, and no one is going to convince me otherwise," says Keeley. "I found mine too."

"This stem is going up my rear mom."

"Who knew picking a pumpkin would be such hard work."

"Girls, stop changning your mind and just pick one already, I am dying in this heat."

"Mom, I am sticking with this one."

"I thought you already picked one Keeley? Now put that back."

Two down, one to go.

"My brain is overworked,
picking a pumpkin is exhausting work.
I need a break"
"Me too."

Haley had to go on at least one little ride. The swing was the only one that looked exciting enough for Haley. All the other rides were baby rides and the big one, was too big. She wanted so desperately to go on the rock climbing wall. She didn't have shoes and I am pretty sure she was too small. Next time she will get to go on the rock wall...my little dare devil. I am so proud.
