Parent viewing day at dance class

The girls have been in dance class for about 3 years
now.  Their teacher is so impressed with them and
all their progress.  They are getting all the steps and
listening to everything she is teaching.  They try so
hard to be good dancers.  They have fun in class
too so that is always a plus.  What cute little
ballerinas I have.  Keep up the good work girls.
 Keeley, Haley, Kayla
 Can we say Sassy!
 "Ohhhh, so cute!"

 Good stretching Keeley.

 "Is she praying or dancing?"

Haley is trying just a little bit less.  She gets bored
easily.  Focus Haley...focus!

It is always so hard not to laugh during viewing days because
they are so cute you want to laugh, but then they get mad
at you because you are laughing at them.  They don't quite
understand why you are laughing.  It is times like these I love
being a parent.  They are so cute because they are silly and
yet you are so proud because they are trying so hard.

Palehua Ward Christmas Party

We did some crafts and ate some dinner and even performed
for the ward.  What a perfect evening!
 "Um...Santa, where are your pants?"
 Keeley loves that ham!

 The primary trying to sing!
"What song are we singing again?"

Christmas in Kapolei

I spent one Saturday with the girls down in Kapolei.
They had a little Christmas festival before the light parade.
They did crafts and saw Santa and had a fun time.

Thanksgiving with the Paets

I was not sure what to do this Thanksgiving because I didn't
want to make an entire meal for just me and Aaron since
the girls take one bite and say they are full.  I also knew that
Aaron didn't really want to host anything.  I am lucky it all
worked out because my good friend Joy Paet invited us to
join in their Thanksgiving Day feast.  She had us and her inlaws
and although she said it was fine, I didn't want to intrude.
I am so glad I accepted because everything was yummy and
I had a fantastic day.  It wasn't stressful at all and I didn't have
to do all the cooking or the clean up. We ate and played cards.
Thank you Paets for inviting us.  We had so much fun...EVEN Aaron.
All the women were getting dinner ready while the boys
and the children were upstairs playing the kinect!
 What adorable girls!
 The entire spread.  YUM!

Kayla is JET of the month

Kayla was the JET of the month in November.
I am so proud. However, Keeley wasn't
happy that Kayla got to be the JET of the month.
She thought she was just as good.  I have to
teach them to be happy for their sister and not
be jealous that they didn't get what the other has.
I guess this is just the beginning...
Good job Kayla.  Mommy loves you!

Poor Baby Keeley

Keeley got sick during November and was home for
a couple of days.  Her fever just wouldn't go down.
I am not sure why, but they had recalled all the medicine
I normally buy and there were no choices at any stores.
My girls are picky about which medicine they will take
and when you have a sick child at home and they won't
take anything...it is so frustrating.  I WANT MY MOTRIN!
So I had to deal with cold towels and baths and trying my
mental powers to take the fever away.  I did get her to take
some of the other medicine, but it didn't seem to bring the
fever down at all!  I felt so bad for her.  I hate when my
babies are sick.  She was so upset about missing school
and not getting perfect attendance that Grandma Leslie
sent her a little gift card to cheer her up.  So sweet.  We
love Grandma Leslie.  Poor Kayla though, then she wanted
to be sick just to get a card from Grandma!  You just can't
win when you have children!

Carving Pumpkins and Halloween 2010

The girls thought it was so gross to have to tough the seeds
of the pumpkins.  They made me do all the nasty work and
they just did the cutting.  Amazing how fast pumpkins go bad
in Hawaii.  We put them out the day before Halloween and
the day after Halloween we had to through them away.  They
had mold and gnats swarming them immediately.  Oh, well!
It is the same with Christmas trees here, dry in less than a week.

The girls wanted to be cats again this year so we tried
to get something a little different from last year.  Keeley
actually told me long before Halloween that she wanted to
be a pink cat and I thought to myself, "where am I going to
find a pink cat."  I was at the mall a few days later and
in Clairs there happened to be a pink cat mask and a pink
tutu that matched.  I thought that would work perfect!
Kayla decided that she would be black and so Grandma
Leslie found a cute leopard tutu for her. They used the
outfit for the church trunk or treat but then wanted to
be something different for Halloween the next night.???

I convinced Keeley to wear the same costume, but Kayla
had to go with the witch costume we borrowed from the
neighbor.  I have to admit that she was adorable in it!
She insisted on carrying my little fake broom the whole time!
I went with the fortune teller theme for the door this year.
I don't know why I bother, we hardly ever get anyone at our
house.  We walked around our gated complex and there were
no houses with decorations or candy.  We had to drive to
another neighborhood just to get some excitement.  We went
up the street to their dance teacher's house (she always gets into
holidays) and they were so scared by her costume that they
wouldn't go into her house.  They were terrified!  I loved it!
