This year Haley had a very simple birthday party. I had planned
to invite just a couple of friends to go golfing with us, but it turned
into a crazy neighborhood invite. There are seriously 30 kids in our
neighborhood and I wasn't about to take them all mini golfing by
myself. So I told Haley that I would just take her and her sisters
and we would invite the neighbors over for some pizza and cake.
It worked out perfect. The girls really enjoyed the mini golfing
and when we got home we had the kids come over for dinner.
I am sure Haley is the only kid in the world who asks for a
carrot cake for her birthday. This is not the first time either. I
tried to buy one from Costco but they don't make them anymore.
So I had to make one myself and I must say it turned out pretty good.
