FUN RUN?

There was what they call a FUN RUN at Haley's school.
My question is, "Is there really such thing as a FUN RUN?"
Anyhow, the run was meant to gain donations for the school.
They use the donations for classroom activities, supplies, and
field trips, etc. At first I didn't think Haley wanted to do it
because usually when she has to run in soccer she mopes around
the field like she is going to die. So I thought, "Fifteen minutes
of running really wasn't her idea of FUN!" I hadn't signed her
up to do it and about two days before the run she said, "Mom,
I don't want to sit on the side lines and be bored just cheering
the other kids on. I want to run." I was really suprised by this
and said it was fine with me and signed her up to run. I made
her call and get donations and everything. She did a good job.
She was so proud on the morning of the fun run becuase she
wanted to get as much money as she could by running as many
laps as she could. Each grade level had about fifteen minutes
to run as many laps as they could. Before Haley ran, her teacher
got out there and made them stretch and get warmed up. It was
so cute to watch. Her teacher is so awesome.
She ran the entire fifteen minutes and made sixteen laps.
Most of the donations she got were for $1 a lap. She
was so excited that everyone had to pay her $16 for all the laps
she ran. I was really proud of her for running so well. She didn't
even complain or look tired either. She just kept on truckin' and
got as many laps as she could get on her little legs. Good job
Haley girl. We love you and are really proud of you for working
so hard for the benefit of your school.
