Trunk R' Treat 2008

This year Halloween fell on a Friday and so they had the annual Trunk R' Treat at the church on Halloween. It seemed to go so quickly because we only dressed up once this year. Normally we go to a couple different activities where they can wear their costumes. This year it was only one. They had a good time though and got a lot of candy. Our theme for the trunk was a spooky woodland gathering and our girls were all princess. I couldn't convince them otherwise. Haley was Sleeping Beauty, Kayla was Cinderella and Keeley was Ariel.
I do have to mention that after I got Haley and Kayla dressed Keeley no longer wanted to be Ariel. She thought because she wasn't wearing a ball gown that she wasn't beautiful. She wanted to be pretty like her sisters. I finally got her to put her costume on and then she just about lost it when I tried to spray her hair red. She thought she wasn't pretty enough. I have to admitt that I wasn't that fond of the red hair but by that time it was too late to get it all washed out. We had to go. Oh well, she was still cute to me!

Spook night is a go

Out at Gunstock Ranch on the north shore
there is a spooky haunted hay ride.
Our friends run it and we have to try
to go every year. It was much scarier this
year than expected. Last year they had
a kid version and an adult version. This
year, what I thought was a kid version
really wasn't kid rated at all. Even I was scared.
My poor kids sat on my lap with their eyes closed
most of the ride. One of the mummies tried to
reach up and touch Kayla's leg and I heard her
scream, "Please leave me alone. Go away.
They are just people in costumes, they are
just people in costumes." It was sad but pretty
funny to hear her say that. I knew it was a bad
idea to take the twins this year. I am just glad they
weren't up all night with bad dreams. There were
some friends we went with and one of the little girls,
probably about 7-8 years old, had to trade places with
me so she wouldn't be on the outside of the wagon. They
sure kicked it up a notch this year for sure.
Great job, next year I will leave the kids at home!
Jason holding Haley and Aaron holding Kayla.
This is before the ride...they are still smiling.

Two of a kind and equally adorable

Sometimes the girls are just so cute.
These are the times that I really love
having twins. They are so cute together.
It is just so precious to see them playing,
napping and loving eachother.
Don't remember why they were so
tired but they both just went and fell
asleep on the couch.
What a sweet kiss Kayla.

"OUCH"
"Sorry Kayla!"

This is one of the few days they let me do their hair.

Pigtails make them look even more adorable.

So long season two

Here are the last games of the season. Haley is just so cute.
I love seeing her out there playing soccer. I can't wait
until next season. I think we are rolling over with the
same team next season, so we will still be the Cheetah Girls.
She looks like an athlete in this photo
doesn't she?

Buckets "O" Fun!

The girls love swimming and when I can't
stand to blow up the pool this is what they
get. My laundry buckets work great. They
are little fish and would swim every day if
I let them. When they help me wash the car
this is what ends up happening. I clean the
car and they swim in the buckets. No help
for mothers, all work and no play!
Keeley and Kayla just hanging out!
Who can hold their breath the longest?
"Kayla, lets see if we can jump from one
bucket to the other."

Ward Picnic

Every year we have a ward picnic down near
Barber's Point. We had it at Nimitz Beach this
year and the girls had a really good time. I am
the only one who got burned. I put sunscreen on
them and then forgot to put it on myself. The worst
part is that I had to work that night and my face
and neck were so red everyone who came into the
gym had to mention it. It was a miserable night
because as the night went on, I got even more red!
Good thing we only stayed two hours and not four.
Haley challenging the waves! "Come and get me."
All the girls digging in the sand.
There was even a perfect little cove for
the little ones.
