Summer's Over!

Haley had her first day of school on August 6th 2008.
She is now officially in kindergarten. She is so happy
to be in school. She just loves learning and can't get enough.
I have been told that she has the best kindergarten teacher
at her school. I took her to school and got a few good shots
of her starting her first day. Congratulations
on your life changing step Haley. Good luck getting up in
the morning and enjoy those school lunches.

Proud Mommy with her little Princess.
Do we look alike?

Entering her classroom for the first time.
Haley's own desk. Do your best baby and have fun!

What is that?

We had Aaron's Grandpa and Peggy Doe come out to visit
the end of July and we had a good time with them. The girls
just loved being with them. We went to the beach, turtle beach,
North Shore, downtown and hung out at Ko'Olina too. We
even played board games. We had a blast.
So as you can see, these pictures are from Turtle beach, or
Laniakea beach. There were at least 5 turtles there that
day and they were right under our feet. The girls actually
enjoyed seeing the fish through the vision boards rather
than the turtles. I guess they take after their parents. We
are all about the fish and invertebrates. It was
funny because everyone kept commenting about how good
the girls swam. They were amazed how little they were and
how well they swam. We also had the turtle volunteer come
up to us and say that she has never seen any little girls
enjoy themselves more at the beach than my three girls.
She thought that we were visitors and this was there first
time to the beach. She was very suprised to find out
that we live here and go to the beach every other day.
We were there for a good three hours and then went out
for lunch in Haliewa. What a great day!

Keeley is so cute.
Kayla, lookin' hot swim bug!
"Man, looking for fish is hard work."

Diggin' holes...who knew it was fun?

A short funfilled visit with Grandpa Charlie

Out at Malaekahana Beach Park on the North Shore.
Grandpa Charlie came out to visit with us for a week
and we had some fun. We went to the beach and to the
water park and out to dinner, etc. He also helped us
fix up a few things around the house. Poor Grandpa
had to work on his vacation. Guess we won't be seeing
him again for a while. We did have fun though...Thanks
Grandpa Charlie. We love you!

"Haley, where are your teeth?"
Grandpa Charlie, all smiles!

Kayla enjoying the surf
Haley kickin' some wave butt! Go Haley!

Aloha Pelizzas

Some times we get benefits with Aaron's job and the friends
he makes there. There is this ranch out on the North Shore
that we have gone to for BBQs and so forth and it has the
most incredible view. We went there on July 12th for a
goodbye party for the Pelizzas, Sylvia and Charlie. They
took jobs in Florida and moved away. We will truley miss
them a lot. We always play games and eat and give a gift.
It's fun times but very exhausting for the girls and mommy too.
Here is Haley and Elijah playing with a bb gun...
don't worry, it doesn't work anymore and there
were certainly no bb's. They thought they were
really shooting something though. So cute. Go girls!

Mike and Aaron manning the BBQ's. Aaron makes

the wasabi soy oysters and Mike makes tritip.
Getting a view of the North Shore. Enjoy it girls!
Sylvia and Charlie getting their goodbyes. Enjoy Florida friends. We will miss you!

Five and losing it!

I swear Haley wasn't five for more than two weeks and she lost
her first tooth. At first she said, "Mom, I think I broke my tooth."
So I looked at it and the two bottom teeth were loose. I told her that
she didn't do anything wrong, when you turn five you start losing
your teeth. She got excited and couldn't wait until they fell out.
It didn't take long. Within two weeks she had lost both
of the bottom teeth. My baby is growing so fast.

4th of July BBQ

We went to some friend's house in Ewa beach for fireworks and a
BBQ. The only problems was that these friends don't have kids
and they like burnt hotdogs...no one with kids would dare burn the
hotdogs right? They also had two cats and one dog, which I am sure
were happy when the kids finally left that night. Poor animals.
We did a few of our own fireworks and then went out to the beach
to view the Pearl Harbor and Waikiki fireworks from across the water.
It was a nice show and the girls were exhuasted by the time we left.
All the kids doing sparklers.
All the kids being lazy. I had to do all the fireworks
while everyone else just lounged and watched.
"Mom, you're the best!"

"This rocks, when do we get to play with the fire?"

I brought famous baked beans and a lemon yogurt cake.

It is so yummy. Aaron made me add a little patriotic flare to it.
