Getting used to the rules of soccer!

After a couple weeks of rain and wind the sun came out. On Saturday the sun was shining and the wind was non-existing. It was muggy and humid and very hot for 9:00am. The twins stole my chairs and sat in the shade of the umbrellas. Haley has been in soccer for about six weeks now and last week she finally decided she got it. She was in the action chasing the ball and really trying to get it away from the other girls. It is amazing how understanding can change the way you play. She is doing so good and I am so proud of her. She isn't the fastest one on the team and therefore doesn't always get to kick the ball, so her favorite thing to do is kick off and kick from the sidelines when the ball goes out. She has to get her share of kicks during the game!

It was pretty stinking hot so I don't blame her for getting tired...below is a set of pictures that show Haley acting out how hot and tired she is during the end of the game. She is such a good actress. Next I will have to put her into acting classes.

She toughed it up and got back into the game. She even volunteered to play for the other team since they only had two girls there and we usually play three on three. What a good sport. It was hard to cheer for both teams. "Go Haley, go Cheetah girls, go Haley."

End of game cheer. "Cheetah girls!"
Haley loves this part of the game...all of them do. We make a tunnel and they get to run through and we yell out their names and cheer them on. They feel so important. It is so cute!
