Easter Bunny Patrol

Last night was a really busy night in our house.
We had a lot of guests dropping by.  Not only did
we have the Easter Bunny stop in and leave us gifts,
but we also had the Tooth Fairy come and leave
Haley some money.  The Easter Bunny and the Tooth
Fairy all in one night...who would have thought?

The girls got lots of fun things from the Easter Bunny.
They got coloring books, the movie Alvin and the
Chipmunks the Squeakqual, and their favorite, a
Zhu Zhu pet.  The girls have been wanting one of those
cute little moving hamsters since Christmas.  They finally
got one and they absolutely adored the thing.  Kept them
busy all day long.  The funny thing was that they couldn't
just play with it, they had to be one.  We have this tent
contraption and they made me set it up in the livingroom
since it was raining outside.  It didn't all fit in there, but I
did my best to create a little hamster maze for my little
hamster kids.  They had a great time with those little guys.
From Grandma Dixie they got dresses and they loved them.
Thanks to everyone for the Easter gifts and love.
So, about two years ago Grandma Leslie sent the girls
these little Easter Bunny costumes.  I pulled the Easter
stuff out this year and the first thing they got into were the
costumes.  They have been wearing them everyday for a
week.  Seriously, how much longer can they wear them
and still fit.  The arms and legs are about halfway up their
appendages.  They are still adorable in them though.
For breakfast we had mini stacks of banana pancakes. YUM!
I am glad that when I asked the the girls why we celebrate
Easter, they knew the right answer.  So smart!
I hope everyone's hearts were filled with love for our
Savior Jesus Christ on this beautiful Easter Sunday.

Egg Party

On Friday we went over to a friend's house and decided
to have a little egg coloring/cookie decorating party together.
Poor Gabby has never celebrated Easter with eggs and such
before.  The girls had a really good time and even enjoyed
a cookie or two.  Coloring eggs rocks!

April FOOL'S Day

During playgroup on April Fool's Day I got
everyone good.  I was trying to think of something
to play on everyone and I just couldn't come up
with an April fool's joke.  I couldn't tell
everyone that I was pregnant because they would
know I was lying.  So...while my friend who actually
does want another baby was off to the side talking
to someone I told the whole group that she had
good news, she was pregnant.  They all oohed
and ahhed and turned around to say congratulations
to her.  However, when they did she just looked at
them with a puzzled look on her face and had no
idea what they were saying congratulations about.
Then I busted out with the old "APRIL FOOLS"
and everyone was like, "I really believed you too."
Way to think on the fly Cortney!
Too bad I couldn't come up with a good joke to
play on my husband.  :(

Playgroup egg hunt

Seriously...is that girl's hair really like that all the time?
Actually, it was just the wind.  We have had crazy wind
here lately and I am actually getting tired of it.  I do like
Naylia's hair though...HOT!
We tried to gather the kids at a table and teach them the
chicken dance and that idea sunk so we had to think fast.
I decided to try and play the "Who ate the cookie" game
with them and they just stared at me like I was a crazy chick.
What is wrong with kids these days.  I did succeed in getting
them to stay at the table while the eggs were being thrown
around in the grass.  Good job me and good job moms that
really tossed those eggs!
Keeley says, "You are lame Mom!"
"Go get 'um kids!"
"Lunch time!"  Kayla loves those egg sandwiches.
