Saggy branches

We got our tree right after Thanksgiving and it was a really
nice tree.  We picked it out and loved it because it was fresh,
full and tall.  By the time we left the tree lot the tree had lost its
luster.  The bottom was cut by about a foot and when we
started adding the ornaments the branches were so saggy
we couldn't get the ornaments to stay on.  They kept sliding
off the tree.  I watered it and gave it some sugar and after a
day or two the branches finally purked up.  I had to put all
the ornaments back on the tree and put it on a stand so that it
would have a little height.  It didn't turn out too bad but it is
already dried out.  I am just glad we got one because there
was a shortage of trees this year.  Two weeks before Christmas
there were no trees to be found.  I guess a shipment got sent
away due to bugs.  Half the island has to get a fake or go without.

Good job decorating girls, you even got the top!

Nadig Fashion Show

Haley got invited to a birthday party on a Saturday.  It was
a tea party theme.  The girls all went over dressed in a Sunday
dress and came home with a pink tea cup, hats, gloves, fans,
purses, etc. etc.  It was crazy.  She had so much fun and the
twins even got an extra hat when they went to pick sister up.
The following day happened to be Sunday and the girls thought
that their hats would go perfect with their outfits.  I thought they
looked adorable but hillarious at the same time.  I can just imagine
what everyone in church was thinking when we walked in.
"Those Nadig girls sure know how to make an entrance."

Thanksgiving Dinner

This Thanksgiving was a small and rather uneventful one.
We had some friends over to eat with us.  Stephanie and
her daughter Gabriella came over for their first American
Thanksgiving dinner.  They are originally from Panama and
spent the last four years in Spain.  They were excited to get
a real Thanksgiving dinner but I am not sure they were all
that impressed.  It was good though.  We spent the morning
cooking and watched a movie while the turkey finished up.
After dinner we played games and relaxed.  It was fun but
since there weren't that many adults eating we had a lot of
food left over.  I think we ate left overs for two weeks.

6am to 6pm

This morning I woke up to a gorgeous sunrise coming through
my bedroom window.  The colors were just lighting up my room.
I had to go get the camera.  If you look closely you can see
Diamond Head in the distance.  What a view!

The same day I was down at Kapolei Regional Park for
Haley's soccer practice and this is what I saw.  The library
is in the picture but I was on low ground so that was as good
as it was going to get.  It was just as colorful as my morning
picture. It was a day with a beautiful sunrise and sunset.

Goof Balls

Not a whole lot to say but what rascals.  They were playing
in my drawer with all my stuff.  Nice outfits girls!

Soccer is over for the season

This season Haley played for a team called the Pink Unicorns.
She was the one who came up with the name, so she was so
proud.  She was also number 6.  The last three seasons she
was number 3.  This was the first season she was on U8 division
and they were much more competative than before.  I just want
her to play and have fun and lets say the coaches were serious
this season.  Any mistakes by players or refs were noticed.
We had some awesome players on our team and won every
game we played.  One game we even had to hang back and let
the other team make some points because we were so far ahead.
We are so proud of you for playing so hard Haley!
