Props to Kayla!

Okay...Kayla is officially potty trained. She has been going pee pee in the potty for a long time, but number two has been a challenge. This week she has gotten up in the morning and taken her own pull-up off and gone in the toilet all day long, even number 2. I am so proud of her. Finally, I am getting out of diapers for good. Although Kayla was born second, Keeley seems to trail behind in progression. I hope Keeley's difficult nature doesn't last into her teenage years.

This One's for you Mom!

The Monday after Mother's Day the girls ballet teacher decided to do a little mother's preview during dance class. The girls have short attention spans just like Haley did when she was that little. What can I say, I have very active young children. Their brains are going so fast they have to move their bodies just as fast to catch up. I guess that means they are incredibly smart! Anyhow, Kayla was having a good time showing off for me while Keeley was busy watching Kayla in the camera. They were all so cute. One more thing to add...Keeley loves her swimming suits so much she even wears them with her tights to dance. Did I mention she loves swimming suits?
"Good job Kayla! Keeley, you are a total rascal!"
"Keeley, it's not nap time!"
"Let's all do the bunny hop. Cute face Madison."
"I just want to get my picture taken. I'll just stand here and you get the shot Mom."
"Is this nap time again?"
"Can we say, push Madison into the cubby hole?"
Sashay...

"Keeley, you look silly! What are you doing?"

First Communion Party

On Mother's Day we went up to a friend's house on the North Shore to help her son Angelo celebrate his first communion. There was tons of food, the beach, and of course a pinata! The girls had a really good time with all of the other kids. However, we didn't get home without a few battle wounds to show for it. Haley fell on the bricks and scraped her thigh, cut open her foot on something at the beach and Aaron sliced the bottom of his foot pretty good too. It was a fun and dangerous afternoon.

Trouble maker, but cute!

After the girls' birthday party I had some left over frosting. It was closed, but up on the counter. Keeley, without me knowing, got a hold of it and took off. It was quiet so I decided to take a look around. I couldn't find her. Then all of the sudden I heard a noise from behind the recliner. When I looked behind it I found a thief and a bucket of frosting. She had gotten it all over the chair and the floor like finger paints. Good thing it was only 1/4 full. She thought she was going to get in trouble and tried to hide her face when I took the pictures. This is the same place I found the lipstick paintings the other day. I think I need to move the recliner so there is no hiding the guilty persons.

Dos turn Tres

My two 2 year olds turned 3....
I put on a simple gathering at the park for their third birthday.
We have playgroup on Thursdays and it seemed like an easy way
to get everyone together to celebrate my angels turning three.
I brought some bubbles and some snacks and we had play time.
The girls felt like they had a big party and really enjoyed it.
Keeley and Kayla are really into farm animals, or any animal for
that matter. They got lots of animals for their birthday and lets just
say that they carry them everywhere they go. They love to play animals.
Keeley is in the purple polka dots and Kayla is in the pink.

Like I said...they love animals. Who cares about friends and bubbles?
This little guy just had to get a hold of the paper towel rolls and let loose!
We had a little spread of sandwiches, veggies, fruits, chips and of course
CUPCAKES!

Happy Birthday Girls...

Opening presents...I said no presents!

We got a few things for the girls, not much but Keeley was
extremely happy about the boogie board. She is going
to be my surfer girl. She lives in her swimsuit and as
soon as she saw this she ran upstairs and got one. She
wanted to go to the beach right then and use it. Did I mention
it was 7:30pm? She settled for pretending!
